Social Media Campaign | The Rediscovery Centre

To increase engagement with the Rediscovery center and encourage people to adopt circular economy practices I launched a 12-week social media campaign. My role involved research, script writing, video editing, graphic design, content management,  and community engagement.

Since fear can cause people to stop in their tracks and fail to take action I decided to find easy ways for them to engage with our content. Using references from pop culture I was able to easily explain the circular economy’s top principles in a way that was familiar and accessible. Rolling with the idea that action inspires more action, I also incorporated videos into our campaign that showcased the work that is already being done in this area. 

As well as this, we hosted weekly webinars with experts in the circular economy. My role was to research the experts and write scripts and questions for the interviews, ensuring that the guest and host were both comfortable.

Over the course of 12 weeks, engagement increased by 35% per cent on instagram and 23% on Twitter. We had 56% increased sign up to our newsletter with a 64% open rate
